Go into the world, in person or watching media, and strengthen this possibly weak muscle. See if you can hold a compassionate perspective initially, continuously, partially, or nill. Practice again and again and again. Heck, always. Practice with your in-laws. Practice with your grumpy neighbor. Practice with the opposite of the political aisle. Practice with someone of another faith and/or race. Practice with an immigrant who doesn't speak English. Practice with all. Practice with you.
