Sometimes we think we need something more but what we really need is the simplest ingredient for life, breath. This third ingredient is meant to center you as the cook and generally goes good with any dish. It is a four step, cycle of breath, process called “Box Breathing.” Each side of the box is an action on you breath for 4 seconds. The first side is breathing in slowly to the inward count of 4. The second side is holding your breath for 4 seconds, if able. Thirdly, is a slow breath out so as to elongate for the 4 second length. Complete the box by pausing without breath, if able, for 4. Repeat this a minimum of 10 times or up to 10 minutes (38ish times). You can’t over cook this, its impossible.
